Restrictions have eased slightly and Motorsport is now taking place, all be it behind closed doors. Wiscombe Park successfully held its first event last weekend which bodes well for our event on September 12. We have a full entry with some reserves, but again spectators are not allowed.
With the current Covid 19 restrictions, the Committee have decided that it would be uneconomical to run the MGs On Grass 2 Autotest in October and have therefore cancelled this event. Details can be found in this link.
As I stated in my last Chairman’s Chat, I have set up an MGCC SW Centre WhatsApp group. It will be used to share Centre news and events and general chats between members of the group. My MGF passed it’s MOT, but only passed the emissions test after a good run (Italian Tuneup style :-)). I have decided that it is not going to be used this year so it has now gone back on SORN and is hibernating until, hopefully Covid conditions permitting, the spring.
