Bath Gymkhana May 23rd 2010
*** The Event Report is now online ***
The Bath Gymkhana is held at Charmy Down Airport (BA1 8AF) which is off the A46 a few miles to the north of Bath and handy for junction 18 on the M4.
The event starts at the socially civilised time of 2pm and usually finishes around tea time. All you need is a car, M.G. Car Club membership card and the £10 entry fee. A passenger helps and is friendlier too.
What is a gymkhana ? A mixture of both timed and judgement tests around a course marked out by bollards on a grass surface. You will enjoy several attempts at each test with the best scores counting. This is tremendous fun, a good way to learn car control on slippery surfaces. It is also utterly non-damaging to your car—save for a tendency for it to get a bit muddy.
To enter you could either contact Victoria Jones direct on 01225 837 545 or e-mail peter@pv.gotadsl.co.uk for an entry form; then again you could find all details on the SW Web site; http://www.mgcars.org.uk/mgccsw/ and there you will also fine pictures of past Bath Gymkhanas if you click the ‘Gallery’ tab.
Just so much fun for a mere £10 !
Please print off the entry form below and post it back with your cheque for £10.00 made payable to the
M.G.CC, South West Centre.
I look forward to meeting you then,
Victoria Jones.
