Bath “M.Gs on Grass” June 12th 2011

The all new M.Gs on Grass will be held on 12th June at Charmy Down Airport (BA1 8AF) which is off the A46 a few miles to the north of Bath and handy for junction 18 on the M4 (it will be well signed on the day).
The event starts at the socially civilised time of 2pm and usually finishes around tea time. All you need is a car, M.G. Car Club membership card and the £10 entry fee. A passenger helps and is friendlier too.
What is a gymkhana ? A mixture of both timed and judgement tests around a course marked out by bollards on a grass surface. You will enjoy several attempts at each test with the best scores counting. This is not only tremendous fun but also a good way to learn car control on slippery surfaces with the added advantage that it is utterly non-damaging to you or your car—save for a tendency for it to get a bit muddy if the weather is inclement.
