MG 40 – Celebrating 40 years of post-Abingdon MGs

16 July @ 8:00 am - 17 July @ 5:00 pm

The venue for this event has been moved from Telford to Toddington on the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire railway.  Therefore the event now falls under out Centre and we have been asked if we would like to participate.

The event will take place on Saturday 16th July and Sunday 17th July, there will be a road run on each of the days organised by Bob Blackstock of the Midland Centre (the centre for the original venue).

MG40 Bredon Hill Road Run

This 57 mile road run is being promoted by MGCC Midland Centre as part of the MG40 celebrations at Toddington on 16 & 17 July 2022. The run will commence at 11.00 am each day so that entrants have the option of stopping for lunch part way round the two hour drive. The route will rise onto the Cotswold hills and pass the National Trust Snowshill Manor House before dropping down into Broadway. Following the lanes that skirt around Bredon Hill you pass through delightful villages with a variety of hostelries offering lunch. Passing close to the Beckford Silk Mill with it’s own eatery before passing the Bugatti Owners Club Prescott Speed Hillclimb course. Finally you pass close to historic Hailes Abbey and adjacent orchard eatery as you rise again onto the Cotswolds passing through gated sheep meadows before returning to the start at Toddington. Maps are not necessary as a simple to follow tulip roadbook is provided and the first forty entrants receive the MG40 rally plate. Entry on the road run does not include entry to the MG40 Show, which must be purchased separately. Go to for Regulations and Entry Form
If anyone from the South West Centre would like to volunteer to assist Bob, he can be contacted at
