Following on from the announcement of MGCC SW Centre branded clothing, the embroidered SW Centre logo has been approved and looks like this;
Once our page on the Ace Embroidery website is up and running I will let you have the link so that you can see what’s on offer.
Due to two additional events being added to the Centre calendar, the printable Event Calendar has been updated on the website and is available by clicking here Printable Trifold Calendar.
The first new event is the Motorsport UK StreetCar Campaign being held at the Prescott Motorsport Festival next weekend (7th and 8th of June). Full details are available on the event page of the website MSUK StreetCar Campaign.
The following weekend, Saturday 14th June, is the Much Marcle, Naviscat organised by Bob Blackstock for the Midland Centre but based in the South West Centre starting and finishing at Westons Cider Mill, Much Marcle. Full details, regulations and entry form can be found on the Event page Much Marcle Naviscat. This is a fun event which I first did a couple of years ago and won the Novice Trophy in my MGF. I have also entered for this years event today and Simon, my navigator and myself are really looking forward to it.
The SW Centre Summer Picnic is the event after the Naviscat. This will take place on Sunday 22nd June at the East Somerset Railway. Information can be found on the event page Summer Picnic.
The next new event is also on the Sunday 22nd June, and is an invitation from the Minehead Motor Club for the Ellicombe Autotest on grass. This is an excellent venue for auto testing as it is a rugby training pitch and therefore is quite smooth and non-damaging. Full details on the event page, Ellicombe Autotest.
I have received the details of the next breakfast meet from Martyn Lucas. It will take place at the Compton Abbas Airfield and there should be some aircraft flying in as well. Full details are available on the updated event page Cars and Coffee at Compton Abbas.
Until next week
Jim Lott
Chairman, MGCC SW Centre
