Chairman’s Chat 1st July 2025

Where does the time go?  We are into July already.

Last Saturday, Martyn Lucas organised another breakfast meet, this time at Compton Abbas Airfield.  12 cars took part (11 MGs and 1 Rover), and a report is available on the website at this link Cars & Coffee.

This year, 2025, is the 30th Anniversary of the launch of the MGF.  A big event is being organised by the MGF register at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon Warwickshire next Sunday, 6th July.  I will be there in my silver 1998 MGF not quite 30years old yet but getting close.

The Centres premier event, The Hillclimb at Wiscombe Park will open for entries on Tuesday 8th July.  Supplementary Regulations are available now on the Wiscombe Event page

The 12th of July sees the SW centre have an invitation from the MGF register to attend the “Wallop, Wings and Wheels’ event at Army Flying Museum, Middle Wallop, Hampshire.  Full details are on the event page of the website at this link Wallop Wings & Wheels

Entries are now open for MGs On Grass 2, Autotest on Sunday 10th August.  We have made this a ‘Taster Event’ to encourage first-time participation in motorsport. All entrants and passengers must sign-on and take out a free RS Clubman licence as required for a non-Taster event. Full details, including the Supplementary regulations and an entry form are available on the website at this link MGOG2

Until next week
