90th Anniversary Year 2026 – 90 for the 90

Tuesday 7th of October 2025, was the 89th anniversary of the meeting in Bath, chaired by Cecil Kimber himself, that established the South Western Centre of the MG Car Club. Therefore, we are in our 90th Year! To Celebrate this achievement, the committee are planning several events and activities including 90 For The 90.
To celebrate the 90th Anniversary next year, all Club members are invited to take part in “90 For The 90”, a Self-Guided Motor Tour around the Centre. The aim is simple – to get us all out enjoying our MGs. Let’s drive them!
Every South West Centre member will receive a birthday card which will list 90 places or events of interest that can be visited between January 1st and September 30th 2026 – no set route, no set timescale, it’s up to members. Drivers from other centres are welcome to drop us an email for the list of locations.
Take a digital photograph of you, your car, your birthday card and the location as evidence of your visit and submit a claim by email (A special Address will be set up). Keep the photos safe as checks will be made! Many of the locations are MG Car Club SW competitive or social events; anyone visiting to gain another location in their 90 for the 90 could enter or even marshal for the day. It’s great fun and really rewarding.
It is hoped that the Birthday cards will be sent out with the December/January edition of Safety Fast. Full regulations will be available soon.
