Saturday 13th June – Much Marcle Navigational Scatter.
Bob Blackstock is organising a Navigation Scatter being organised for the MGCC Midland Centre on Saturday 13th June 2026.  South West Centre Members have been invited to participate in the event.  It will start and finish at Westons Cider Mill, Much Marcle, Herefordshire, and cars will leave at 1-minute intervals starting at 10:00am.  Full details are on the SW Centre website by following this website link.

Thursday 10th September – Remember that I was asking for repair facilities for the group of French MG enthusiasts who are coming to the UK to tour Wales in my earlier chat’s. I passed on the information I received, and it was very gladly received by Christian Lissot, he said he is hoping that they do not need to use any repair facilities on the tour.
I enquired as to when they would be crossing the Severn to head into Wales and he said that they were hoping to do so on Thursday 10th September in the afternoon. He suggested that it might be good if they could meet some SW Centre members that afternoon and I suggested the Severn View Services at Aust. I haven’t got a time yet (parking at the services is time limited) but if you would like to join me in welcoming the visitors to the SW Centre, drop me an email (jim.lott@hotmail.co.uk) and I will see if we can arrange something.

90th Anniversary Year 2026 – 90 for the 90

The entries for the ’90 for the 90’ challenge are coming in.  As the spring weather is improving, don’t forget to take your birthday card with you when you are out and about in your MG.  The ’90 for the 90’ challenge is easy, just select a destination from the list in the birthday card, take a digital photograph of you, your car, your birthday card and the location as evidence of your visit and submit a claim and photograph using the claim form accessed here.  We are not expecting you to visit all the 90 places, but there could be a prize for the MG car that visits the most different venues.

90th Anniversary Summer Picnic

The Committee are making plans for the Summer Picnic, being held on 19th July, in the field next to Dave Mothersdill’s house in Tockington.  There will be a live band to entertain, a free Pride of Ownership competition, and ‘A Cook It Yourself Gas Barbecue’ so far.  We are also trying to source some Pub Garden games, if anyone knows where we can borrow/hire some please get in touch.

90th Anniversary Clothing

All items in the Clothing Store are now available with either the normal South West Centre Logo or the new 90th Anniversary logo.  Select the item you require, T-shirt, Polo shirt, Sweat Shirt, Premium Cap, Beanie, Hoodie, Fleece Jacket, Softshell Jacket, Shell Gilet, Soft Padded jacket, soft padded gilet or long sleeved shirt, then select the colour and size and then you have the option to select which of the two logos you require.  It couldn’t be simpler.  Very suitable attire to carry out the ‘90 For The 90’ challenge.
