The event was held at the Three Magpies, Seend, Devizes, Wiltshire. We had a good turn out of MGs and 26 members attending the AGM and Lunch. It was good to have a ‘Live’ AGM rather than an online one as we attracted a lot more members than last year. With Ian Beningfield stepping down from the role of Chairman, it was proposed that I take over as Chairman once again. I was delighted to be asked and relish taking on the role again. The AGM was completed in a timely manner apart from ‘Any Other Business’ which was postponed until after lunch, as the AGM was running close to 13:00 when lunch was to be served. After the excellent lunch, we had a meaningful discussion on the affectedness of Evening Natters particularly the Chew Valley Natter at the Ring O’Bells, Compton Martin, which has been suffering from a lack of participants in the months running up to Christmas. At the end of the discussion it was decided to suspend the natter at the Ring O’Bells for the time being.
Below are some photographs of the MGs and the members attending the lunch.
