As a tribute to Bruce Weston, who sadly passed away last year, we have renamed the usual MGs On Grass Autotest in Memory of Bruce, as he used to organise this event every year before I took over.  There will be a charity collection at the event.  I have contacted Bruce’s family and they have chosen the ‘Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance’ as their charity.  Bruce’s son and Daughter will be at the event with Bruce’s MG TC on display.

We have permits to run two types of test, a normal all forwards Autotest for drivers 16 years and above with no passengers, and an all forwards  Production Car Autotest for drivers 13 years or older with a fully RTA Licenced passenger, in a ‘Saloon Car’ (non-removable Roof, 4 seats and less that 2000 cc).  If the driver holds a full RTA, then passengers of 12years and above are allowed in the Production Car Autotest.  Full details are in the Supplementary Regulations via the link below.  This is an ideal opportunity to give youngsters  the chance to experience driving and competing in a fun sport.

As this event is on the list for the “90 For The 90” Challenge, we look forward to seeing you at the event.  If you are not competing, you are more that welcome to come and spectate or even marshal one of the tests and cross the event of the “90 For The 90” off your birthday card.  I will be there with my camera to take photos if required.
