Chairman’s Chat – 24th May

Last weekend was the Wye Valley Social Run, after a long break from social events it was great to be back out on a run again. Jim Lott did a great job finding a fantastic route through the beautiful Wye Valley ending up at Goodrich Castle, you can read the event report and see a photos of the cars that took part here

As I mentioned in a previous chat I am looking to expand the number of events the centre puts on, especially outside the Bristol region so that more SW members have the opportunity to take part. If you have an idea for a good run or finish point then please do let me know either by commenting here or by emailing me chairman@mgccsw.com

Also on the theme of new ideas I’m working with the committee to look at new events (competitive and social), new natters and how we can improve our publicity and communication. Shortly I’ll be sending out a survey to get your input but I’m also looking for volunteers to join some working groups alongside the committee. The groups will be a couple of times a year online when the survey goes out there will be details about how you can get involved but again for now if you have ideas or would like to be involved please do reach out.

Ian
