Chairman’s Chat 22nd April 2025

Another week has flown by and next Sunday, 27th April, we have our first competitive event of the season, MGs On Grass 1 (MGOG1). This is being held at the field in Claverham as the Christer field we normally use is no longer available to us. Details, SRs and entry form are available on the event page by clicking this link, MGOG1 It would be good if we can have some pre entries so we can gauge the popularity of the event.

It is a bit of a sad day for me as I have sold my MG Metro Turbo and it went off this morning to its new owner. I have had the car since 2009 and have lots of happy memories in driving the little pocket rocket, but I felt it was time to pass it on so that someone else can have some fun. I am keeping the MGF and hope to be competing in it on Sunday.

With May approaching fast, our first event in May is another Breakfast meet organised by Martyn Lucas. This time, Martyn has arrange to meet at the AV8 restaurant at the Cotswold Airport, near Kemble on Saturday, May 10th from 09:30 to 11:00am. Again more details can be found on the event page by clicking this link, AV8 Breakfast Meet

Do you attend the Monthly Natters in your area? I would like to find out if these events are still popular or if we could try and find a different way to socialise with our cars.
