Chairman’s Challenge Trophy 31st October 2026

I had the opportunity to present my Chairman’s Challenge Trophy, at the Bristol Pegasus Motor Club, Halloween Sprint.
I instigated the trophy when I first became Chairman of the MGCC SW Centre a few years ago and it was awarded annually at our awards dinner to the SW Centre Member who I thought had promoted the ethos of the SW Centre in that year.  However, during 2020, we had lockdown and the awards dinner was cancelled, and Ian Beningfield took over the Chairmanship as my allotted time was up.
As this is my last year as Chairman, I thought I would award the trophy again, as I felt that one particular SW Centre member had gone above and beyond in getting SW Centre members out driving their MGs.
The recipient this year is Max Tyler, for his outstanding work in putting together the ’90 for the 90′ challenge and seeing it through to its conclusion.
The photo is of me presenting Max with the trophy at Castle Combe in front of his MGZR 160 sprint car, just before his first practice run.
At the end of the meeting Max came second in his class and won a another trophy.

Congratulations Max!
