28 members joined me for the inaugural New Year Lunch at the White Hart Iron Acton on Saturday 26th February 2022. Proceeding started in the car park where an array of MGs were parked and the owners were meeting up with other owners that had not been seen due to the lockdown measure of the pandemic for the last two years. The weather was sunny and warm in the sun but there was a chill in the air once the sun went behind the clouds. Once inside the pub, we were seated in the conservatory room with exclusive MG car Club access. All meals had been pre ordered and the staff did an amazing job in providing all the right meals together at the same time. The food was delicious and I had several comments on how good the food and service had been. I emailed Glenn and Vicky Prested (the landlords of the White Hart) thanking them on behalf of attendees.
I would like to thank John Bird, for the initial enquiry with The White Hart, and also all those who attended to make it a memorable occasion.
Below are photographs of the cars and the members enjoying the atmosphere.
This is my last event as Chairman as I will be standing down at the AGM on 7th March, I am willing to stay on the committee if I am voted back on.
