What a glorious day we had autotesting on a flat, but very dry field, courtesy of Mr George Atwell of Claverham Court Farm, Claverham, Somerset.
We had 14 competitors pre booked which was over twice as many that we had for MGOG 1 in April. We also had two extra entrants sign on, on the day. So fifteen entrants in total. However, Dave Mothersdill’s MGB decided that it didn’t want to play and Dave came and marshalled instead. Ben Dean, who was going to double drive Dave M’s MGB did come in his Fiat Punto, but unfortunately, that split a hose and he had to retire. It was great to see a good number of Bristol Pegasus Motor Club members and thanks to Clive Rayson for again supporting our event from Minehead Motor Club.

As I said the field was very dry, as this part of the country has had very little rain and I found that my MGF was having trouble wagging its tail and under steering, which it normally does without much prompting when charging about on grass. I still had a lot of fun and ended the day in my usual position near the bottom of the timesheet.
