Due to the lack of facilities at The Kymin, It has been descided to change the venue to Symonds Yat Rock, a beautiful Forestry England viewpoint overlooking the River Wye.

There is no fixed route, however if you want to meet at the Severn View Service at 10:30. we can start from there as a group. Please let me know (chairman@mgccsw.com) if you wish to start from Severn View so I know when we are all assembled and can set off. It is around 25 miles from the Services along the Wye Valley (A466) so I am suggesting we leave the services at around 11:00am for a leisurely drive to the car park at Symonds Yat Rock.
For those members in the Gloucester/Cheltenham area, Martin Reynolds is suggesting a meet up at the petrol station next to the Heritage Honda garage on the A40 just north of Gloucester. Approx location A40, Longford, Gloucester GL2 9DJ. On the left when traveling from Cheltenham. He is suggesting that you aim to meet at 10 50 ready to go at 11. I have found out that the A466 is blocked by a large landfall between St Arvans and Tintern. A diversion is in place taking the higher road via Devauden & Trelleck to Monmouth and has good views to the Black Mountains. However be aware of the 30 MPH speed limit through Devauden as the police often have a speed camera in that area.
For those not joining at Severn View, follow the tourist signs for the Forest of Dean. Take the B4432 from Coleford and Christchurch, heading North. The site is on the left before the steep downhill road to the river. It is near Coleford, Gloucestershire (Sat Nav Postcode: GL16 7NZ). OS Grid Ref SO564160.
