After a lengthy delay in finding a suitable venue, it was settled on the George Inn at Bathampton near Bath. Once we had the menu, food choices were sent to me and I sent the final selection to the George last Wednesday. We had 28 guests sitting down for lunch and the food was served in good time and was delicious, enjoyed by everyone. After lunch I said a few words and passed around a 90th birthday card that had been sent to me by Dave and Sheila Heath, which included reference to a new MG, a ‘T’ type available in 1936 at a price of £222.00.00.
I would like to particularly thank Steve and Dee Curtler and Bryan Tucker and Marion Knowles for driving to the event from Poole in Dorset which just goes to show how large our centre is.
