Chairman’s Chat – 31st May 22

As I write this the sun is shining again hopefully that will last throughout the long Jubilee bank holiday weekend giving everyone plenty of time to get out about and enjoy your MG. For me I’ll be making the trip across the bridge to Pembrey Circuit in South Wales for the next round of the speed championship. The Midget seem to be back on form after its problems at Wiscombe Hillclimb earlier this month with a new personal best time at Prescott last weekend.

Looking further ahead on the 12th June we have our annual Summer Picnic once again organised by Alan Diamond and Dave Heath. This year the event will be held at the Haynes Motor Museum, nr Yeovil. More information including how to claim discounted entry to the museum is on the event page

As mentioned in a previous chat sadly the picnic clashes this year with MG Live at Silverstone, something we’re working hard to avoid next year. If you are attending Silverstone we have committee members taking part in the California Cup (Mike Angwin) and myself in Sunday’s autosolo so do come along and say Hi, and its not too late to enter either of these events, more details are on the main club website
