36 members and guests sat down to a lunchtime meal at the White Hart Inn, Iron Acton on Saturday 11th October. After the lunch, David Franklin gave a very interesting talk on the cars that he has driven, raced, trial and rallied, with great success, over the last 60 years.
One of the MGB GT’s that David’s team at the Huntsman Garage, in Downend Bristol, converted to V8, was in the car park having been driven to the event by its current owner, Stuart Morgan, son of Bruce Morgan, who purchased the car from David some years ago and also campaigned the car in sprints and hill climbs.
